Where is Donaghmoremuseum located?
We are located on Main Street, Donaghmore, Co. Tyrone. Free parking is available behind the building, and the bus stop is a two minute walk away.
Is the museum accessible for all visitors?
Yes. Our building offers step free access, a lift to all floors, accessible restrooms, and large print guides are available on request.
Can I take photographs inside the galleries?
Non flash photography is welcome in most exhibition spaces. Some loaned collections may carry restrictions, clearly signposted on site.
Are children and families welcome?
Absolutely. We offer family activity trails, a quiet room for younger visitors, and free admission for everyone regardless of age.
Do you have a café or shop on site?
Our reading room serves tea, coffee, and seasonal bakes. The museum shop stocks books, prints, and gifts inspired by our collection.
Before You Arrive
Donaghmoremuseum is a living archive, not a quiet monument. We invite you to wander, ask questions, and linger. Our staff and volunteers are always happy to point you toward something unexpected, whether it is a hand stitched sampler or a century old letter.
Allow at least two hours for your first visit. Our rotating exhibitions, permanent collection, and reading room each offer a different way into the stories we hold. Audio guides are available in English and Irish at the front desk.
